Ed Tech Recruitment
Funneling traffic into exponential growth
Ed Skip came to us for a UX and color refresh, but after reviewing their platform analytics, it revealed a bigger challenge: low conversion and limited repeat visits. Rather than focusing on surface updates, we stepped back and reworked the brand and experience. We focused the platform around founder Chelsea Avirett’s transition from education to tech, reflecting the users’ experiences, and created an empathetic and encouraging voice. We redesigned the site as a guided experience, making it easier to use and giving people a reason to come back. A simple onboarding flow introduced Ed Skip’s offering, captured user preferences, and led into tiered subscriptions, while kickstarting curated job newsletters. A streamlined intake and personalized dashboard made the search process more manageable for the user. The new experience keeps people coming back, creating natural opportunities to upgrade and driving exponential growth for Ed Skip.

Educational Publishing
Carrying the theme through animation
McGraw Hill asked us to create motion design for their 2025 National Sales Meeting. The goal was to take their existing assets and unify the entire event's visual language around the theme "Accelerate." Working closely with their internal team, we evolved their static design system into a dynamic, animated identity that elevated every visual touchpoint, from the hero wall to the ambient screens. Using tools like Cinema 4D and After Effects, we were able to develop intentional, continuous visuals for large-format LED displays. This work ranged from intricate logo shines and ambient star fields to a looping owl for their ALEKS platform. Our focus was on ensuring the motion was visually engaging and thoughtful, successfully carrying the event's theme with incredible impact.

Making investing relatable & accessible
Diana Richey, a certified financial planner and day trader who shares her portfolio and up-to-date investments on Substack, engaged us to accelerate her subscriber growth. We significantly increased the accessibility and relatability of her investing techniques and content by integrating personal stories, playful cartoons on how to grow money, and easy to understand explanations of financial terms. For her stock alerts, we introduced detailed, step-by-step guidance, covering everything from setting up a brokerage account to executing a trade. We also overhauled her brand identity: swapping muted colors for vibrant aesthetics and renaming her brand from "Women's Investors Community" to her personal name, Diana Richey. The change was key to developing an inclusive community and establishing a brand synonymous with building wealth. The result is a rare and memorable investing brand that invites people who once feared finance to participate, and attracts major financial media outlets to feature Diana.

Nova Collective reached out at a turning point. As political pressure pushed many organizations to remove DEI messaging, their positioning was no longer viable. But their mission remained the same: helping people lead and grow through inclusive, ongoing learning.We reframed their story to how we should work today: that as AI handles more tasks, human qualities like adaptability, empathy, and good judgment have never been more important. This became the foundation for a new narrative, positioning Nova as a partner in developing thoughtful, future-ready leaders for companies of every size.

It started with two friends who loved riffing on ideas. Those creative sessions evolved into BeMinded, a studio dedicated to bringing brand strategy, design, motion, and systems into alignment.

BRAND & BUSINESS STRATEGIST
Tenaya has led the strategy and storytelling for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Google, Kellogg’s, Bayer Consumer Care, and Bloomberg and has led creative and marketing for start-ups and small businesses.
She helps organizations of any size define who they are and pinpoint opportunities to grow their business more quickly. She evaluates a company’s analytics, pairing them with research and art direction to make a brand relevant and uniquely theirs.

DESIGNER, ANIMATOR, AND SYSTEMS BUILDER
For 20 years, Hansel has designed brand identities, motion graphics, and animated experiences for global brands, events, and platforms. At Bloomberg, he led television partnerships and projects across Bloomberg Media.
He creates expressive design, digital experiences, and systems that get people to stop and engage. His combination of illustration, interface thinking, motion design, and storytelling helps build a brand’s community of followers who are invested in its success.
